Ofsted report – December 2022

Ofsted report May 2025

‘Pupils are happy at this school. They love playing together, whether searching for
minibeasts or inventing their own games. Older pupils have a strong sense of
responsibility and really look out for the younger ones. They organise games for them and
ensure that the resources they have are well looked after. The school also makes sure
there is plenty to enrich the curriculum, with clubs such as gymnastics. Pupils benefit from
visitors to the school, for example firefighters or visitors who talk to the pupils about living
in China.’

The new Executive Headteacher appointed in September 2025, Matthew Gamble, is currently working with the DFE RISE team (Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence) to improve the standards highlighted within the last Ofsted report.

There are many strengths and positives within the school and a number of changes have already been made to the benefit of pupils and parents. (March 2026)

Please do come and see the school and talk to us.
