Maths

At Thompson Primary, We follow the White Rose scheme of learning.

Children have the opportunity to learn through concrete resources, drawing pictorial representations and solving abstract problems. We aim for the children to develop fluency in Maths, so it is not just remembering facts. We want our children to be confident in their explanations and reasoning.

To engage our children with multiplication we use Times Table Rock Stars which enables them to learn their times tables through games and challenges.
